Why is it always the small cuts that leave scars?

i got a tiny cut on my upper thigh when i was a little girl, i got cut by bamboo. not much deeper than a paper cut and about as long as my index finger. it barely bled, yet even now i have the scar. same thing when i got burned by an eraser, that scar is still there...can anyone explain?|||You might have Keloids, a condition that leaves a coarse or raised scars even from small tiny injuries.|||Big cuts and burns leave scars too.
