Why do scars have no feelings?

I broke both bones in my arm. Compound fracture. Its been about 9 months. The scar doesn%26#039;t feel anything. You can use nail clippers and squueze at the scar ( i know its reallyy disguting) But I dont feel anything.|||Scar tissue has no blood supply built into it like the capillaries under your normal skin tissue. It is just a fibrous covering.|||It is damaged tissue with no nerve endings because of the injury.|||around the scar, the nerves are damaged that cause the feeling sensation.

How long does it take Palmers Cocoa Butter to heal scars?

Whoever told you that it would actually heal a scar is wrong. It will soften %26amp; protect the skin on the existing scar, but it won%26#039;t heal it. If you are referring to the scab, then that is a completely different issue. Actually, any type of a product that has a greasy base will help to seal the area, but a better way is the application of fresh aloe, cut directly from the plant! Keep the area clean %26amp; covered if it is on a part of your body where the scab could get bumped or nicked. In the future, if you want to avoid a scab %26amp; a scar, you should immediately disenfect the wound %26amp; cover with zinc oxide %26amp; seal the wound area completely, making sure that no air can get it. In 24 hours, you will have a wound that has resealed itself with no scabbing. That%26#039;s how you avoid a scar. Change this dressing daily for one week %26amp; you will be scar free!|||It just takes time. There is no exact time. Every scar and every person is different. It also depends on how soon you started using the stick of cocoa butter after your injury healed. If you used it right away, many times a day and don%26#039;t pick the scab.....it will fade much faster.|||try the palmer%26#039;s cocoa butter formula e scar serum. it really works, but you have to use it everyday. i even used it twice a day, but i have i really bad scar.

Are old scars supposed to hurt months after healed?

I have an old scar and i used medcine when it was first cut and it healed fine..but recently it%26#039;s been throbing with pain on and off. It was a pretty bad cut but not one that needed stiches. Is it normal for it to hurt?|||Make sure it doesn%26#039;t look infected or inflamed. If it feels warm to the touch and looks red that means it is inflamed and you need to get it checked out.

If you have recently touched the scar or irratated it in anyway it could throb and be sore for a while.|||I suppose it depends on what the scar was from.

I have a surgical scar (pretty deep cut) on my back from over a year ago and the doctor told me it%26#039;s normal for tissue inside to tear and bleed out and cause inflammation/lots of pain for a while after.

If it%26#039;s just a minor cut though, I%26#039;d get it looked at.|||Thats sounds weird but i have had many cuts and stitches in my life from surgery and accidents. Depending on where the cut is, scar tissue when it first forms is less elastic than your skin would be prior to a cut or injury that opened you up. I had a scar on my forearm that burned and throbbed for a while even after i got my stitches removed. Hope this helped. If it keeps up get it checked out.|||When I had surgery, my scar hurt for a couple of years afterwards and I was told that the nerves were regenerating. But in your case, since you didn%26#039;t need stitches, maybe you healed on the surface but there%26#039;s some foreign object underneath and it%26#039;s getting infected. I%26#039;d see a doctor.|||Where is the scar?

I would say its fine, I have a few very large scars. Every once in a while they will become like this, sensitive, or throb a little etc...

Im sure it is just caused by things such as stress.

So I would say its nothing to worry about, it should go away, just keep an eye on it.

If it is really bothering you then I would suggest getting it checked out...|||no id go to a doctor it might be infected and if is infected and closed (healed) then that is really really bad becouse the only was to help it is shots lots and lots of shots|||My cesarian scar still acts up now and then when I have sex (?) because of the pulling and pushing, odd angles, etc. It just gets sore from the skin being stretched, as it is weaker now. Doc says it%26#039;s normal.|||maybe you scarred at again or maybe it got infected.

wait a few days but if it still hurts you should get it checked out.|||Sometimes scars can get sudden shocks of pain, but not like all the time pain.|||They can hurt for years if nerves were damaged.|||Nooooooooooooooooooooooooope|||nope but if it is a huge scar or a deep scar it may sting a tiny bit.

get it cheked out though just in case|||nope, it%26#039;s prolly infected,

talk to a doc.|||No get it checked out!|||No|||No it isn%26#039;t normal. Get it checked out i t don full heal|||No id go see someone about that if i was you !

good luck|||no i would go see a doctor|||well no at lesat i dont think so|||Nope not at all, sounds worrying...go see ur gp!!

Operation for scars from being burnt by chip pan oil?

i burnt myself when i was a baby, my scars are still visable. Is there a operation or something that could get rid of them?|||The difficulty you will face is that any operative procedure to remove scars may well leave you with different scars.

Procedures have changed so much recently, skin grafting is very advanced and skin %26#039;expanders%26#039; are used with very good effect. Often these techniques are most effective on new injuries.

The Red Cross offer a camouflage service to cover scarring but you ought to speak to your GP and ask for a referral to a plastic surgeon/ burns surgeon, who will be able to advise you on whether there is a surgical technique which will help you.

Best wishes.

Can some scars make a guy more attractive?

Yeah, I don%26#039;t mean like some huge, deep, ugly scars all over the face. I mean like 1 or 2 small ones. I have a little vertical scar right above my right eyebrow...got it when I was trying to do a knife trick at the age of 4 : )...Im not self conscious about it or anything but it just got me thinking...can some scars add to a man%26#039;s %26quot;repertoire%26quot;?|||Um yes. Scars make guys look sexy. unless there%26#039;s like thousands of achne scars...but i do know a guy who actually pulls off achne scars....he is SO good-looking|||As long as it%26#039;s not a bunch of acne scars you should be cool.|||i dont mind a few. shows how tough they are. lol. no i personally like scars, they%26#039;re kinda like storytellers.|||lol.

x|||in my opinoin.. i don%26#039;t think soo...

Okay so ill admit that i have cut myself and im fdone with it, but when will the scars dissapear?

about a week before christmas i cut DADDY on my left wrist.the actually dried blood part of the scare has gone away but you can kinda see a pinkish outline. [like after you have stitches] when will this go away?|||Try neosporian or mederma for kids or something because usually scars stay there- don%26#039;t pick at the scar or it%26#039;ll just make the scarring worse.

What's the easiest way to get rid of acne scars?

Use a Honey Mask. Buy RAW ORGANIC Honey from your local farm stand or grocery store. Leave on for 20 - 30 min. If you do this about 3x a week, you will start to see results, plus your skin will be verryyy soft. Also, Neutrogena has a mask that reduces the appearance of dark spots left over form acne.|||Microdermabrasion will help. A medical spa or good salon can hook you up. It should cost $150 initially and around $100 per treatment afterwards. Make sure you are using sunscreen too! |||onces a day for 2 weeks scrub your face with a mixture of nutmeg and honey|||cocoa butter can lighten any scar

Is a dermabrasion a good way to soften/smoothen acne scars and skintone?

I%26#039;m 20 so it%26#039;s not like I have ageing skin or anything...

Thanks|||It depends on how deep the scars are. If they are to deep, it will lessen the appearance. If they are not to deep it will smooth and even your skin tone.

What's a good masque to use on my face to help with blackheads and/or mild acne scars?

i%26#039;ve been using biore pore clearing masques, but they aren%26#039;t quite doing the trick. i have a mild blackhead issue as well as moderately mild acne scars. anyone have any suggestions? oh yeah, i have combination skin. thanks!|||I love the %26#039;Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque%26#039;

It sucks the impurities right out of your skin, like oils and blackheads. This stuff works wonders for acne.

Give it a try, a big tub is only 5 bucks at Sally%26#039;s Beauty Supply!|||Try a warming mask and/or a peel off mask with tea tree stuff. Tea tree is supposed to be a good detoxifier. The warming mask will open your pores and the peel off mask will grab the gunk and pull the blackheads out. As far as the scars go, Mary Kay TimeWise庐 Even Complexion Essence works well.|||Clinique emergency mask twice a week. Also scrub your skin once a day and wash it twice a day. Use acne cream and lotion after washing.|||try using a mint julep mask or a avocado and oatmeal one called feeling beautiful ...you can pick it up at any walmart its by freeman..it works really well

What/how can we ask him about his scars to get him to explain them?

This guy at work has scars on his wrists. He seems the depressive type, really miserable and won%26#039;t talk to anyone. You can%26#039;t get a conversation out of him, it%26#039;s almost laughable, he just looks scared all of the time. He is always diverting his hands if he notices anyone looking at his wrists. Everyone at work is always talking about him, curious about why he cut himself.|||Unless you are his manager and you are upset about his work, why should it matter how he got them or what they are from? Maybe he was abused as a child, or was in an accident and doesn%26#039;t want to talk about it. You should respect that and leave him to it. If he wants to tell you he will.|||maybe he didn%26#039;t do it himself why don%26#039;t you all just mind your own business|||It%26#039;s none of your business, he owes you nothing and you have no right to ask him.

What age are you- 4???

He%26#039;s at work, earning a living, functioning and contributing to society. He doesn%26#039;t need the school bullies on his case, does he??

Get a life and grow up.|||Why do you need to know.

Maybe at his old place of work there was a mad old gossip who went mad and slashed everyones wrists! You know how bullys are supposed to have been bullied in the past - I would watch out if I were you!!

Seriously, leave him alone. The nicer you are to people the happier the world will be.|||why do you need to ask him about them, most likely they are from a suicide attempt, and he obviously doesn;t want anyone to know about it. Its really none of your business, if it concerns you that much mak up your own story about it, and then get over it.|||I would just leave him alone. If he wants to tell what happened he will but I wouldn%26#039;t ask him. Everyone has things they have done in their past that they regret. He probably has problems that he doesn%26#039;t want to talk about.|||Just be open and friendly but don%26#039;t ask about the wrists. If he feels safe he may want to talk eventually, but if you%26#039;re all talking about him behind his back then it%26#039;s bound to make him feel threatened and withdraw. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment. If you%26#039;d had a really difficult time and it had left your scarred would you want it to be the subject of office gossip?|||no wonder he is the way he is with being talked about and stared at alot of the time, leave the poor bloke be and mind your own business.

he probably needs friends not people to take the pi55 out of him|||maybe hes depressed cos you lot are talking about him, leave the poor guy alone if he wants to talk he%26#039;ll talk!|||It%26#039;s none of your business! If he wants to talk about it he%26#039;ll bring it up.|||Maybe he would respond to a friendly approach, like being asked down the pub. Accept him as he is, and treat him like one of he blokes. If he is aware of being talked about, it%26#039;s not going to help him at all.

It sounds like he has some nerve issues, and needs to be approached in a non-judgemental and non nosey way, and on his own terms. You never know what emotional baggage a person is carrying round.|||Do not ask about them. It really is noone%26#039;s business except his. If he seems to be depressed, try to befriend him. Invite him for coffee or to join you for lunch. It may take awhile. If he turns you down the first time, ask him several more times. Smile %26amp; say good morning to him, calling him by name so he knows you%26#039;re speaking to him. Find things you can compliment him on. His hair? clothes? cologne? the way he does his job? Once you get to be friends, perhaps he%26#039;ll tell you then. Let him have his privacy.|||scars are his business. id hate to be the poor guy working with u lot|||I feel that if this person wanted to speak about them he would.

It would be difficult to approach the subject without him putting up a barrier.

Treat him like a normal person and he may tell someone, please do not stare or make comments behind his back as you could cause a lot of damage.

I have some bad scars on my face that i felt deeply about (an accident at 10 year old) and because i did not want to speak about them i was treated differently, believe me it is not a nice feeling to be seen as different.

Be friendly and supportive as he may need a friend.|||what%26#039;s more important, getting this guy to talk about his cuts, or getting on with your job, in a good 99% of cases, the job comes out tops, so lets not ask this man why he has these scars, he doesn%26#039;t feel comfortable about it and its his private bussiness, why bother asking him Let this man do his job.|||If you actually ask him, he will probably quit his job from embarrassment. Leave him alone and respect his privacy, or if you must talk to him, just be normal and talk about normal stuff. Let him open up to you without you forcing the issue. That%26#039;s only if you really want to get to know him. If this is just gratuitous titillation, then leave the poor guy alone.|||It is none of your business, and you are adding to his problems with your rude inquiries. In these days of violence in the workplace, where people bring guns to work and shoot at mean coworkers, I would definetly mind my own business, and advise the rest of your gang to likewise stop.. You never knpw about a person, and a obviously depressed person needs help, No wonder he looks scared, with you and the gang harrassing him, laughing at him. Glad you do not work with me!.|||Honestly it sounds like it%26#039;s none of your business. I don%26#039;t think he would trust anyone at work to talk to about it either because it sounds like you guys are treating him like a freak show. Have a little compassion would ya.|||you should leave him alone, maybe he is depressed because everyone is gossipping about him|||what a shame. he obviosly doesn`t want to talk about it if he tries to hide the scars!! leave him alone and mind your own business!!!!! mental illness is no joke. treat him no differently. i wouldn`t want to talk to a bunch of nosey arseholes that talk about me behind my back either.|||I%26#039;m sure the fact that his coworkers staring and whispering at him isn%26#039;t helping matters.

Everyone should just back off until he feels comfortable enough (if ever) to talk about it. Maybe he doesn%26#039;t want to, and that%26#039;s fine too. The scars on his wrists don%26#039;t affect his work ability (I assume) so why is it necessary to question him about them?|||Mind your own business. Hes obviously self concious of them, you are making it worse.

BTW my b/f has scars on his wrists too. They are from a skin graft.|||My advice is not to ask him...wait to see if he chooses to tell you, and if he doesn%26#039;t then he clearly doesn%26#039;t want to discuss it! Perhaps you should ask yourslef why you want to know? You don%26#039;t sound terribly empathic towards his depression and nor do the people you work with. Maybe its just plain noseyness? Try a bit harder to get to know him and accept him for the person he is and not what his arms look like.|||maybe he is self conscious because you seem more interested in his scars than his personality. Just make an effort to include him but don%26#039;t crowd him and he may eventually come out of his shell. As for the scars he may not want to discuss them so I wouldn%26#039;t ask him. It may just be something really boring like a carpal tunnel op, but if he did try to take his own life then that is not something you want to be talking about at work, would you?|||You sound like a jerk. Think about something your self conscious about. For example if your overweight and everybody at work talks about you being fat. It%26#039;s probably something he%26#039;s not proud of and doesn%26#039;t want to talk about. Get a life.|||Whoa... back off!

Obviously he doesn%26#039;t trust you people, and obviously you don%26#039;t actually care about him but just want to gossip and satisfy your morbid curiosity.

Maybe if you actually try to CARE about him, you will find ways to help and support him. Go slowly and lovingly.|||Honestly, it%26#039;s not your business. But as a survivor of suicide myself, I once told a woman who had slash-scars on her wrists about how I noticed she had scars and how good Dermablend works on scars of all types. We got to talking at that point, and the Dermablend makeup and stacks of bracelets did help. (In his case, he can use a heavy leather watch as well as Dermablend.)

He%26#039;s probably in a very touchy and delicate place right now. Suicide survivors, recent ones, often are. Imagine having just had someone try to kill you. Imagine that you can%26#039;t get away from them. That%26#039;s his situation.

He%26#039;s probably also touchy because he knows he%26#039;s the subject of gossip, so stop it!|||DON%26#039;T ask him.!!!

How RUDE!!!!

If you like him and are genuinly concerned about his welfare then just be pleasant to him each time you see him and DON%26#039;T join in with the gossips!

This person has had a traumatic past. be gentle with him.|||the way to interact with him is not to pry into his personal life. A simple hello or good morning is always a way to get people to know that you are a friend. Invite him to lunch. Ask him how his weekend went. Don%26#039;t ask him about a possible painful past...its almost as if your curiosity is linked to some deep seeded obsession of wanting to judge people for their mistakes. Be a friend not talk show host.|||IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS

let it go-- your morbid curiosity does not give you the right to pry.

if you had an obvious scar would you want people staring and bugging you about it? have some empathy|||You should get the personnel manager to get him help.

Guys, would you see girl as less attractive if she has acne marks and scars?

If a girl could be considered pretty, but has several acne marks and scars over her face, would you consider her as attractive vs. a girl who doesn%26#039;t have any problem with her skin? Does a girl having acne, acne marks and scars make you want to have second thoughts on dating her?|||I currently am dating a girl with much noticeable scarring. It hasn%26#039;t made nor did it ever make a difference at all to me. It%26#039;s down to me actually finding her more attractive than anyone else because I genuinely like her, because I connected with her personally very well before we got more serious, and her self image and self esteem are better than mine, yet another one of many many reasons why I adore her.|||Try to keep the right perspective on things. Yes, some guys will find that less attractive and not be interested. Guess what, some guys wouldn%26#039;t be interested in you if you were too tall, short, or Afghani, or had big hips, or small ones, or whatever other thousand traits you could imagine. I know it%26#039;s your face so it seems like a huge deal, but any one guy may or may not be attracted to you for any number of other reasons.

Hopefully that helps!|||unfortunatly I would have to say that there are very shallow people out there that would probably not date the girl with the acne scars.

The thing is this, Be yourself and you will find a person that will like you for you.

The nice thing is is that the acne scars will help you get rid of all the Jerks that would have hurt you in the 1st place )|||if you have a great smile, beautiful eyes and a nice personality then the rest doesn%26#039;t matter to me. I have dated girls who have had acne scars before and I have dated heavy girls too. If a guy judges you for your appearance only then he is a dog and you don%26#039;t need him any way.|||everyone gets acne

i would understand but if her personality was bad and her skin was bad i wouldnt date her that would just give me another reason not to date her

id rather have a girl with acne scars and a great personality then a girl with flawless skin with a bad personality

hope that helped|||A huge part of a girls hotness is her personality. A girl with lots of character is way more attractive on many more levels than just a pretty face.|||yeah that can be an obstacle. I also find some girls who have the same problem but they are super sweet and their bodies make you drool! I don%26#039;t mind dating as long as they have good personality and that%26#039;s what matters.|||A guy who WOULD give her second thoughts is not the guy you want to date. A guy would WOULD date her is the kind of guy who will love you for YOU....and worth keeping.|||I don%26#039;t think that the scars matter much. If she%26#039;s attractive, then thats ok. No seconds thoughts on acne or scars, but other things like personality etc might give me second thoughts.|||my boyfriend doesnt mind my scars on my face but i was dumped by my ex bf cos he didnt like them

my boyfriend says as long as u feel pretty i think you are beautiful :)

some guys mind where others dont|||Honestly, no. Almost all teenage girls and boys have them, including me. There are girls who are real pretty and have them. People won%26#039;t look at them much, or even pay attention.|||if he wants sex no if he wants u then ya lets just face it ur gonna look bad n he wont ever want u to meet his frnz n ol basically it will hurt u only|||i can connect the dots

Why do people say tanning will fade scars?

Wouldn%26#039;t that make them darker and worse?|||Since the skin is damaged it does not change color like your normal, healthy skin. Generally tanning doesn%26#039;t %26quot;fade%26quot; scarring but sometimes it will make your skin tone darken to a similar shade to your scar, giving the illusion that the scar is fainter. Honestly, you%26#039;re probably doing more damage to your healthy skin by trying to tan away skin that, in all likelihood, your just gonna have to live with. Not saying don%26#039;t tan, I just wouldn%26#039;t recommend it if it%26#039;s only to %26quot;fade%26quot; your scars. Once your scar has faded naturally, there%26#039;s really no way to fade it %26quot;more%26quot;.|||Tanning doesn%26#039;t fade scars, the scar is still there but because tanning causes the pigment of your skin to become darker, it just seems like your scar is gone but its the skin around it just matches it.

How do you get rid of pimple scars in a week?

matthew g%26#039;s answer is probably the best.

alternative choices :

neutrogena advance solution acne mark fading peel , merderma .. or loreal acne response intensive peel

What's the best remedy for hiding scars?

I have three scars on my leg and they aren%26#039;t very attractive. Does anyone have a remedy or suggestion for hiding these? Even if its only temporary?|||...maybe try a concealer, look in the make up section in the supermarket...i have a 8cm scar from the removal of a skin cancer so i know how u feel...i have been using an orange color oil called bio oil...it has reduced the rednesss of it quite well.....good luck...|||there is a vitamin complex that can do the job in less time, if interested email me. make sure your settings allow me to reply back|||There are specific creams that fade scars, I used them on a scar on my forehead and it has faded significantly.

Look out for creams like Elicina, but the best, for me anyway is Mederma, its about 拢20 per tube, but well worth it

I hope it works for you

Will vitamin E lotion really help my scars look better?

How do I get rid of acne scars at home??

i need half of them gone at least in a month...|||Acne scarring is perhaps worse than the acne itself.

My acne scars weren%26#039;t horrible. They probably weren%26#039;t even that noticeable after I put on my foundation. However, I certainly noticed them and that was all it took to bother ME.

If you%26#039;ve got acne scars, you may feel a bit helpless. But you don%26#039;t have to because there are alternatives to getting rid of acne scars. And you CAN do something about it.

So what do you do about it? Well, there is totally a solution ... actually there are many.

These are NATURAL treatments.

Now, just because you hear the word %26quot;natural%26quot;, I don%26#039;t want you to shake your head and think you need to just buy some over the counter miracle cream. These remedies WORK! And you%26#039;ll find that by consistently using them, your acne scars WILL fade just like mine did.

So without further ado, here are my favorite natural acne scar solutions:

Vitamin E

Don%26#039;t underestimate the power of this healing lotion. You can get it at any drugstore in topical form. I have a HUGE bottle of it under my sink :) . Vitamin E naturally heals scars by moisterizing the damaged skin. Use it everyday to fade away acne scars.

Cocoa Butter

This one should be used carefully. If your acne is not already under control, cocoa butter does pose the threat of additional breakouts. However, if you%26#039;re using the 3 Day Cure technique and your skin is finally clear, this is a powerful healing tool. Cocoa Butter will soften skin, lighten the scars and make them fade into nothing. I love this one. By the way, Cocoa Butter also works great on fading stretch marks.

Honey

Okay, this is totally gonna change your life! Honey works overtime on acne %26amp; acne scars. Yes, Honey! When I first learned about this natural remedy, I was pretty bewildered. The sound of it alone is confusing. Honey is a sticky, sugary substance. How can it possibly clear up skin?

Honey kills bacteria while simultaneously lessens the red look of irritated skin. The acidity in the honey evens out your skin tone, shrinks current pimples and will give your skin a softer feel. Listen, I know you may be skeptical of this solution. I was at first, then I tried it. This natural acne scar remedy works great.

Lemon

Lemon will help clear up acne as well as fade acne scars. Plus your face will smell like a freshly shined harwood floor, so that%26#039;s a plus ;)

The acidity in the juice will lighten the redness of the scars and balance your skin%26#039;s pH levels to prevent future breakouts. Give it a shot.

the food we eat plays a very important role. You will have

What are some good remedies for eczema/scars from it?

hi.

i have itchy, bumpy rashes from my eczema right now and nothing is working!

I%26#039;m super itchy and dry and red and it looks almost like i have small hives randomly all over me.

Please help, thanks.|||You need to go and see a dermatologist! This is the only way to permanently get rid of eczema. He/she will give you a cream that should work.

Good luck!

I have developed scars on my breast, stomach, and arm in the last few weeks. What is wrong with me?

Do I have have breast cancer or something? Someone please help me.|||Probably stretch marks, they can look like scars, also check your upper thigh and buttocks. If %26quot;scars%26quot; are present then you might have stretch marks|||You may have stretch marks.|||Maybe your having a alergic reaction.|||Go see a doctor, do not overlook if you havent had it before.|||Scars? What like?

They sound like stretch marks though. Atleast, they sound like common places to get them. Are they reddish-purple and have a grooved-into skin look? They probably are.

This can happen if you%26#039;ve recently gained a lot of weight or had a growth spurt. They won%26#039;t go away, but there are cocoa butters and vitamin E creams you can use that help them fade.

Good luck. :)

Which should I use for quickest results for acne scars, lavender oil, lemon juice or Vit e oil?

I have all 3 but in a bit of a muddle, scars are like in patches, not severe but not minor either.Maybe I could use different things different times of day??

Any advice would be very greatly appreciated, thanks.|||Acne marks usually develop when you pop a pimple or squeeze it out. This action peels off the pimple and the skin forcefully and leaves a permanent mark at the affected area. The deeper the skin peels off, the darker is the mark. Sometimes, it may leave a scar, which is all the more difficult to get rid off. However, you may try out these remedies at home that will help you to get rid off acne marks and cure your face.

* Take the fresh juice of lemon and dip some cotton wool in it. Pat your face with the cotton and let it dry. Some people may find the lemon juice irritating. In that case, you can dilute it in some water or rose-water. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes and wash your face with water after that. Do this at least four times a week and you will find considerable change.

* Make a paste with some sandalwood powder and rose-water. Add 2-4 drops of lime juice to it. Apply this paste on your face and neck and let it dry completely. After that, rinse your face with cool water and wipe off the paste with cotton wool. Do this on a regular basis (twice a week) to get good results.

* Apply cucumber juice on your face with cotton wool. In summers, you can do this almost daily as it helps cool off the skin and tighten the pores. Cucumber juice is very helpful is making your skin glow and make it feel fresh.

* A popular homemade remedy for removing acne marks is to make a paste of apple and honey. Make the apple paste first and then add 4-6 drops of honey. Apply this mask on your face. Wash off after 15 minutes. This will tighten pores and make your complexion light.

What you don%26#039;t know yet- I know that what I am about to reveal to you can be almost impossible to believe. But it is 100% truth! Do you know what you can cure any sort of acne within 3 days? Seems impossible right? Well visit and see

How do i get rid of the scars?

i was a cutter for almost 3 years. and i have really bad scars. waht are soem ways to get rid of them?

Thanks|||Awww dear I am so sorry to hear, but glad you are in the clear. I honestly don%26#039;t know of some exact product names but the best advice I can give you is that there is still hope and to look up %26#039;how to remove scars%26#039; in google.com. I always see products in stores, such as lotions and such and maybe the doctors have a better formula, but you should seriously do some researching, and fast! Good luck!|||your best bet is to see a plastic surgeon... especially considering how old they are.

Maybe they can be lasered off.|||Vitamin E oil is very good. Also, the same lotion used for stretch marks in pregnancy will also help hide the scars.

Also, there are prescription topicals that can really help you fade those.

BTW, don%26#039;t tan, it will make the scars worse.

Congratulations for being an ex-cutter - you should be proud of yourself - I wish you all the best.|||Get Concha Nacar and put some lemon in it.

Let it sit overnight.

Put the white liquid on your scar the next night.

Do it and you%26#039;ll see the results in barely 3 months, max.|||Some scars never fully heal but you can dimish them alot. Pure vitamin E oil, Walmart sells it for about $2.50, put on daily rubbed in will help. It has to be the pure oil though not lotions or creams. Also some of the stores have scar fading kits now they are pricey but they do help dimish them. I know the vitamin E works as I asked my doctor what to use after jaw surgery, I had a terrible scar down my face and used the oil daily for about a month and you can%26#039;t hardly see it now unless you look very very closely with a magnifying glass. It worked wonders for me.|||no way. only time will fade them. you can try cocoa butter or vitamin e or over the counter scar treatments, but really all they do is moisturize them. one thing, though, is DO NOT TAN THEM (ie, wear a ton o sunscreen) because tanning will make them darker.|||you can%26#039;t unless you have %26quot;plastic%26quot; surgery|||Congratulations on ending that terrible part of your life. This really works, but its gooey and doesn%26#039;t smell to good...be thankful your aren%26quot;t trying to fade scars on your face (i did, put it was worth it), Aloe Vera plant is a miracle plant......you need the actual plant, they are very easy to take care of and they multiply quickly, so you%26#039;ll have it around for awhile...I always have one in case it is needed. Just break off a piece of the plant...inside is a green, slimey substance...coat your scars with it daily, preferably after you shower..at night is best...just leave it on all night and rinse your arms in the morn...it won%26#039;t happen in a week or two...depending on how bad they are and what type of skin you have...but, believe me it will make a big difference , you will notice a change pretty quick and it will get better the longer you use it. And, like someone else answered, lemon is also very good to use on them. I use aloe vera, diluted apple cider vinegar, lemons and egg whites on my adult acne (not all at the same time HA HA). Old remedies are amazing...they work and you don%26#039;t have to spend a fortune....good luck.|||u cant dude..they will fade eventully tho. it was bad of u to do that and u have to pay for it.|||I think there is some kind of treatment for this. Ask a doctor. Maybe a skin doctor can help. I wish I could be of more help, but I don%26#039;t know much about this sort of thing.

I know how you feel to a point... My husband was a cutter, but he is rather dark complected... So the scars aren%26#039;t all that visible on him.

Glad you stopped! That%26#039;s the most important thing.

I wish you the best of luck! :-)))|||I have found that Pure African Shea butter smooths and fades many scars significantly. This Shea butter is often found in health food stores, African street festivals and at local street vendors. You know it%26#039;s pure because you may see the Shea butter in part of the tree. The vendor may scoop the butter into a plastic container right before your eyes. I have used yellow and white Shea butter. I feel that the yellow one is stronger. However, the vendors say both colors have the same rich properties. In addition this shea butter will smell peanutty, but don%26#039;t fret if you use the shea as a base then add your favorite or usual lotion and a fragrance you%26#039;ll be fine. How can i get rid of redness on my cheeks, dead skin, blackheads, and scars from pimples????

i have redness on my cheeks and i donno wat its causedby. i have lots of blackheads and scars left from trying to pop pimpples and fron trying to squeeze of the black heads :S

i also have dead skin and i donno how to get rid of it!!

HELP PLEASE!!!|||First, you should probably see a dermatologist, especially if you want to avoid scars and/or get rid of ones you already have.

Next, you should NEVER pop a pimple! Or a blackhead, for that matter. That%26#039;s only going to cause more scars. To get rid of black/white heads, you can try using Biore face strips.

To get rid of dead skin, exfoliate at least once a week. More often if your face can handle it, less often if it freaks out on you. I personally recommend St. Ives apricot scrub.. amazing stuff.

As for the redness, it could be from many different things. This is the part where you should probably see a dermatologist. But if you want something to use in the meantime, avoid anything with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. While they do help with acne, they also irritate and dry the crap out of your skin. I%26#039;d recommend Neutrogena products, especially any of the acne stress control line.

To reduce the redness, you want to avoid irritating your skin any more than you absolutely have to.. only wash your face twice a day and moisturize immediately after. Again, Neutrogena products are good for this. I%26#039;ve been using their oil-free moisture for sensitive skin for a long time and love it. I%26#039;ve also used Dove facial moisturizer in the past, mostly because they have something in the product that is supposed to reduce redness, and it works.

Again, I%26#039;ll stress that it%26#039;s of utmost importance that you don%26#039;t irritate/stress your skin! That%26#039;s a big part of the reason why skin breaks out in the first place. Don%26#039;t scrub unless you%26#039;re exfoliating and definitely don%26#039;t use a washcloth--use your hands instead and make sure you wash your hands before touching your face. And avoid touching your face at all unless you are washing your face.. it%26#039;s pretty easy to transfer bacteria from your hands to your face, and then the problem starts all over again.

Best of luck to you! And again, if your skin doesn%26#039;t clear up, make sure you see a dermatologist!|||you should try an at home peel.

You should try and find out if you have Rosacea or not. Scrubs can make them worse so be careful. If you cant afford a professional, go to yr local department store and get one of the girls on the make-up counters to diagnose you (it should be part of their training to know what Rosacea is.. if not, move on to another girl.. someone will know)

Laser therapy can be VERY effective in elimination of scars, dead skin, blackheads and enlarged pores but its also very expensive and they usually only do it on old people as you cant go out in the sun again.

Skin peels can be nearly as effective with amazing results. I have done two TCA peels and I%26#039;m amazed by the results. They are also very expensive but I think you can buy them on line and do them at home. I would research it thoroughly before I did this though. You dont want a back yard job that does more damage than good.

Alternative natural methods would include applying honey to the red area (it can be effective in elimination of redness as well as helps renew skin.. used as a face mask twice a weeks is very effective.. just spread honey on your face!)

Steaming the face helps reduce black heads but you need to do it a lot!

Last but by far the least.. Drink HEAPS of water.. I cant stress this enough. Whether you do or dont do any of these other treatments, drinking water is most beneficial.

Skin cells that are fed a lot of water come to the surface plumper and more even, giving you a more even, brighter complexion, eyes and hair. Drinking water can help with the blackheads too.

Does Hirudoid cream help fade sunken acne scars?

I popped a lot of pimples on my face and now It left me with sunken tiny ice pick like scars on my cheeks.Does Hirudoid cream help reduce the appearence of the scars?|||no, you have to have icepick scars cut out if there deep and trade it for a linear scar or white line. Or do laser but they wont be surface level, they will improve though. I tried mederma and bio oil, it didnt work. I read good reviews on silika cameillia oil so i bought it just recently.

Try creams before getting them cut out. They will supposidly look better if they are cut out since it will look like a tiny line rather than a hole. But, I would suggest first trying bio oil, snail cream, or silika camellia oil before doing surgery. Strivectin SD as well. Neutrogena acne mark fading peel is for red marks not scars. Strivectin worked on my stretch marks a little bit but it did nothing for my indents. thanks|||If you%26#039;re limited in funds, you can try chemical peels at home. Depending how bad your scars are, you can buy either a Glycolic Acid peel or a TCA peel. Glycolic Acid is much milder than the TCA peel. The TCA peel is deeper and you%26#039;ll have downtime for about a week while your skin peels off (it will look gross for a week) but it is better for severe acne scars.

You can start off with the Glycolic Acid peels to get yoru skin used to peels and see if those help. If not, then move up to the TCA. Careful with the TCA, though.|||well my advice to you is Don鈥檛 start any treatment for scarring until your acne is completely gone and unlikely to come back.

What kind products(soap, ointment, medicin鈥?etc.) can help you get rid of pimple scars and pimples?

What products can help you get rid of pimple and pimple scars????|||my son has been using pine tar soap for a over two months now. it has really helped clear it up. he had it really bad. huge sores on his face, back and some on his arms and chest. you can get it thru your pharmacy. it costs about $4 a bar and a bar can last 3-4 wks. His skin is 100 percent clearer now|||PIMPLES

Pimples is a unique skin disorder.Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin鈥檚 pores are obstructed or infected. They can form for a variety of reasons. However, the mechanism involved in causing some pores to collapse and block drainage of natural oils is not really understood. Pimples may also crop up for genetic reasons. It is not clear how it can be inherited from one鈥檚 parents, but studies do indicate a high occurrence of pimples in children whose parents had it,too.

The pimples associated with adolescence almost certainly occur because of hormonal changes that take place during puberty. Both males and females get an overdose of the male hormone testosterone during this period, causing excessive generation of sebaceous fluids that invariably cause pimples.

GIVEN BELOW ARE A FEW SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES TO FIGHT PIMPLES.

1.The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care. Regular washing of the affected areas with mild soap is a must. The soap need not necessarily contain any chemicals designed to prevent pimples .However, face washing should not be overdone or the skin will become dehydrated .

2.Care should be taken on makeup, moisturizers and other skin care products. If these products are oil based,it would just make the problem worse. Use water based products instead.

3.Generally we rub, press or squeeze our pimples.Don鈥檛 when we do this,we risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.

4.Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic

quality.

5.Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

6.Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

7.Before bathing, apply a mixture of fresh tomato pulp, honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty minutes before washing off.

8.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples.Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result.

9.Directly rub potato slices all over the face, helps to get rid of blemishes and

pimple scar.

10.Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices.

11.Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars.

12.Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, salads, fresh juices, fish and

yogurt. These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.

13.Another overnight home remedy for pimples is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. Calamine lotion also will have the same drying effect.

14.Pound orange peel with water and apply to affected areas.

15.Another useful remedy for pimples is zinc. Which can be taken in a dose of 50 mg daily for a month and then reduce the dose.

16.You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as an overnight home pimple remedy.

17.Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash.

Finally, certain medications may temporarily alter the hormonal changes prevalent during adolescence and cause pimple outbreaks. If this is the case, a simple adjustment in medication may be all that is required.|||You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as a simple home remedy with great results. Does anyone know how to get rid of acne scars?

well... that%26#039;s my biggest problem on my face right now... my acne scars... now, I don%26#039;t have enough self-confidence to face people.. how can I face my problem if the problem is my face? is it possible to reduce it through detoxifying?|||I%26#039;ve heard %26#039;Bio oil%26#039; is supposed to be very good for any scarring. It contains lots of vitamins and essential oils to help your skin recover. Good luck.|||There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. So, beside using all sort of creams and potions on your face, take a look at your eating/drinking habits.

Hydration is very important for the skin - drink at least 6 glasses of water daily.

Try a detoxification cure - plain yougurt plus a lot of chopped parsely - for 1-3 days (depends how long you can do it). You can repeat that monthly.

Eat lots of (fresh) fruits, and NO chocolate based products (for some time).

Periodically, try a peeling lotion or a substitute: I use moist wheat bran to rub my face, and then wash - from time to time (not frequently)

Before going out, you can try some makeup - will cover skin imperfections till your bright new skin will %26quot;emerge%26quot;

What would you think if you saw scars from self inflicted cuts on someone?

Would you be scared of that person? Would you ask them about it? I have some scars on my arms from a bad time in my life a few years ago. It%26#039;s really obvious what they%26#039;re from. Usually I wear long sleeves, but when I don%26#039;t I am so self concious and feel like everyone is staring at them. Please be honest, it won%26#039;t hurt my feelings. I just wanna know.|||I honestly try not to judge by appearance and go more by demeanor, words and acts and let the persons own doings decide for me.

I can care less about what you did in the past, its not my problem unless you ask for advice about it or mention it. However, it is a clear symbol that you went through a difficult time, whatever it may have been. You being alive, shows that you are now a stronger person so there really should not be an issue with it or any concerns about your %26quot;mental health%26quot; either.|||I would think u were like me, cutting is addicting, and clinically it releases stress, :) and its hard to get past for a year solid I had cuts multiple cuts, and they were deep, I didn%26#039;t show people and it wasn%26#039;t for attention or pity, it helped me, I understand that part of it, everyone has ways of dealing with their problems and that was mine. Mederma for scars really helps minimize the scars (I personally kept some of mine for reminders) I still today think about it, but an easy way I found to stop cutting was having a rubberband on my wrist and I%26#039;d snap it reall hard, (the wrist cuz its a soft spot) I wouldn%26#039;t think you would hurt anyone else, or be dangerous in any way I%26#039;d think your a normal person :)|||My friend has the scars. I try not to really mention them, but if we%26#039;re out with friends who don%26#039;t know, then I tell her when you can see them. I also let her know that I%26#039;m there if she needs anything.

I wouldn%26#039;t be scared of you, and I might possibly ask you about it, but only if there was loads, and if it was obvious that you%26#039;d been selfharming.|||People are most likely probably not staring, And i had a really close friend who cut and i never thought she was any less of a person that i was. I just knew that she was having a hard time. I did try to help her go through it other ways, but i never judged her. So don%26#039;t be self conscience just know that people who have souls should not judge you or stare.|||How would I know they were self-inflicted? I have known cutters before and most people don%26#039;t realize that the scars are self inflicted, it%26#039;s easy to assume there was a bad accident or something in the past.

Honestly, people probably are looking but they aren%26#039;t always thinking what it is you think they are thinking. More than likely they assume it is something far from self infliction. You had a rough time and we all go through rough times, you just handled it differently. I won%26#039;t say wear the scars proudly, but don%26#039;t be ashamed for being human. You be you and be comfortable with you!|||My heart would kind of squeeze because I would know they had been hurting. I would ask how they were doing. I would hope for some kind of intervention that would help heal them. I hope your scars heal and you find a way to turn them into a positives, like getting your life in order and being able to help others who are going through it , they would listen because you have walked the walk now talk the talk. Warmest wishes to you from me.|||I personally wouldn%26#039;t be scared. Worried maybe. I couldn%26#039;t pity you cause II understand emotional pain and self harm...I%26#039;m sorry you suffered that much in the past. *hugs*.

I don%26#039;t mean to sound discriminating, but there are a few products that help, like cocoa butter and vitamin e oil, helps fade the scars.

I%26#039;ve also found this page to be extremely helpful, should you feel like harming again. http://www.selfharm.net/fself.html.

Scars on arms I%26#039;ve only seen on myself. I used to have a lot of hideous scars from eczema and being unable to stop myself from scratching as it also provided (scarring) stress relief. I still have several on my arms that haven%26#039;t faded. I do ask friends when I see scars on them even if they seem very old.

The thing is most of my close friends know about the scratching/eczema and are unafraid to ask. I don%26#039;t feel too weird when they know. Other times when I feel self conscious in the presence of people who don%26#039;t know, I just pretend they don%26#039;t matter, though inside, it does.

I guess it helps to think of healing scars as evidence of you having survived something...|||I would be on the lookout for new wounds but I would not go so far as ask them about the scars...it is obvious what they are from. I would hope that the scars are just that... scars... and that the person has healed and moved on.|||I%26#039;d think that the person was in serious emotional pain and it was so overwhelming that they needed to cut themselves just to feel something. And depending upon the age of the scars, I would either assume that the person got help (if the scars were old and healed) or still struggling with the emotional pain and anguish if the scars were newer or fresh.|||This is a very touchy question and most people will try to be nice in answering but will actually act differently in reality.

For me, if I see a self inflicted (scar) injury, I will consider the person dangerous and keep a reasonable distance to avoid being attacked.|||I have,a freind of mine cuts herself-she was diagnosed with borderline schitzophrenia-she also likes for men to cut her during sex-me and her sister tried to sit her down and talk to her about it-but it did no good-she stopped taking her meds years ago-it made me feel like i was dealing with a very mentally unstable person.|||my daughter self harmed . she has thankfully stopped but i never had an aversion to her scars .

there is a belief that self harmers dont feel the pain they are too busy concentrating on harming at the time these are just memories you hold on your arms of a difficult time in your life dont worry about them they are a part of you and in so what other people think does not matter|||I would think %26quot;wow, she must have had some rough things happen in her life%26quot; You should be proud of what you have overcome not, what happen in the past but, what you have done to fix it.|||That is not something you see every day. I feel bad for them. And i would hope that they got past that desire and addiction of cutting themselves like that. I hope you have.. God bless you.|||Honestly i think they were a little stupid, but i am not one too talk. People do stupid things and i am sure most of them regret it too. I would maybe ask, talking can help people alot.|||I would think that they were troubled at one point in their life.

Honestly, who isn%26#039;t? Those who aren%26#039;t troubled at some point are usually either protected or deluded.|||I am sorry for the pain you experienced. I would not be scared of you but I would be concerned and would want to make sure you are alright now.|||I would ask them how things are going for them today, emotionally speaking.|||I would think that you had a bad time in your life and I would hope that things were better for you now.|||I would just hope they got better from whatever they where fighting with. It would be rude to bring it up if you hadn%26#039;t.|||id give them some tongue|||I have a good friend who has a number of scars on his arms. No one has really asked him about it till one day. They asked him if he had an accident, and he said he hadn%26#039;t.

None of our friends really asks. He wears long sleeves and doesn%26#039;t talk about it. We respect each other%26#039;s space. I%26#039;m sure that if I asked him nicely, he%26#039;d tell me, but I don%26#039;t want to invade his space, so I just wait and if some day he mentions it I%26#039;ll be happy to listen and be respectful.

I guess what I think about when I sometimes see his scars is that I feel sad that he%26#039;s felt that way about himself to do that to himself. It makes me wish I knew him then so that maybe I could have helped him avoid it.

I have another friend who did a lot of cutting and she wears long sleeves but I think that if anyone asked she%26#039;d just speak right up and tell you the whole story. She%26#039;s told me many times. And with her I still feel sad that she got to a point that she felt she needed to do that.|||I%26#039;d think they were an emo wimp that needed to grow a pair.

What is the best treatment for acne scars?

Remedies For Reducing Acne Scars

鈥?Apply aloe vera (gel or juice) to heal (and prevent) acne scars. Be careful when you choose your brand because most claim pure organic material. One good brand is Fruit of the Earth. If there%26#039;s hyperpigmentation, aloe vera can take time to fade them.

鈥?Rosehip seed oil is another option that can work for you. It can regenerate new skin and fade the skin discoloration caused by acne scarring. Take time to massage onto scars twice daily.

鈥?Lavender oil is also used to promote new cell regeneration to improve acne scars. Gently massage onto affected area.

鈥?Topical skin lightening products give faster results, these can inhibit and get rid of the melanin content that causes the hyperpigmentation. Try a mild skin lightening soap (black licorice soap) and/or Dermaline skin whitening cream.

|||Acne - Acne Scars and Their Treatment

The unsightly appearance of acne lesions or pimples isn%26#039;t the only potential problem with the disease, unfortunately. In some cases, it%26#039;s possible for acne to leave permanent scars.

Some conditions may appear to be scars that are not. Macules and other bumps can occur even after acne is treated. Redness may persist for up to a year. But these aren%26#039;t true scars. They%26#039;re not permanent.

True scars are a permanent change to skin tissue produced by the healing process itself, chiefly creating fibrous tissue. As white blood cells attack bacteria they can produce changes in underlying skin cells in the surrounding area. This is one way scars become permanent.

They may also not be limited to areas under the surface.

So-called icepick scars are small pinholes that form in the surface of the skin. They look as if the skin has been poked with an icepick, hence the name. They%26#039;re typically too deep to be treated with simple dermabrasion or even laser resurfacing.

Boxcar scars are similar, except they tend to be flatter on the bottom, rather than narrowing to a point like icepick scars. Since they%26#039;re often shallower they can sometimes be treated with resurfacing techniques.

Keloid scars are firm and grow beyond the site of the injury. They%26#039;re characterized by an excess production of collagen. They often result in a shiny pink or red scar.

Prevention is the best option, of course. But when that%26#039;s not possible, there are a number of standard treatments.|||

Acne is not a simple condition to treat. It is a skin disease that affects each individual that has it differently. Every case of serious acne has to be looked at as an individual case in order to be properly treated. There is no catch-all treatment that can be used for every case. Furthermore, a lot of trial and error is usually needed in order to find an effective treatment individual by individual. There are many acne products that are mass-marketed as the best cure for acne. It is very important to realize that products that are marketed towards acne sufferers and that can be bought off the shelf in the supermarket, do not cure acne. They manage, mask or suppress the symptoms of acne. It is important to recognize this as well as to realize that acne is not a result of bad hygiene. If your acne is progressively getting worse do not think that it is enough to wash your skin often and to use an over the counter product. If your acne is getting worse, seek medical advice for stronger products that might only be available with a prescription.Acne treatments vary from being off the shelf, over-the-counter creams, prescribed and surgical. Over the counter acne products are usually topical medicines that contain Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid. These are usually used to treat mild cases of acne where an individual is attempting to halt the progression of acne and clear up some troublesome pimples. They can also be used during severe stages of acne in combination with another treatment. Doctors usually recommend that the acne-infected area be washed very gently with warm water and a mild soap and then the topical treatment applied. When acne progresses to the moderate or severe stage, doctors and dermatologists will usually use a combination of treatments in order for maximum effectiveness in halting any further development of the skin disease. Light therapy and extraction are often used at the moderate stage, in combination with an oral antibiotic or a retinoid cream, depending on the observations and recommendations of your doctor.Since acne is such a complex condition to properly treat, it is not advisable to attempt to self-medicate. If you try over the counter products and they do not work. Do not give up thinking that you have an incurable case of acne. Seek further professional medical advice. A doctor or a dermatologist will try to stop your acne from getting out of hand and will make an aggressive attempt at using a combination of products to prevent the possibility of acne scarring. If you are serious about putting a halt to your acne, learn about the latest acne fighting products and how they can possibly work for your type of acne from your doctor. Do not make off the shelf products the extent of your fight against acne. Be as aggressive about fighting acne as acne is about progressing step by step into a serious skin condition.

Acne in and of itself can be a real challenge to deal with and for some even when dealing with acne they are left with scars that can further tarnish their appearance. Here are some tips to help you with this problem.

1 Dermabrasion is another method for treating acne scarring. This involves using a rotating wire brush or a spinning diamond instrument which will wear down your skin%26#039;s surface.

As your skin heals you will begin to see a smoother layer coming through. This can take anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks for healing time.

2. Fractional laser therapy is one of the newest forms of treatment for acne scarring. This type of treatment actually works on a deeper level than the Dermabrasion or the laser resurfacing.

The healing time for this is shorter as it does not injure the top layer of skin. This type of treatment is generally not covered by insurance and can prove to be quite costly.

3. Some doctors may also recommend a micro dermabrasion or chemical peel which can help improve the area where the scars are. These are also milder treatments that can be done right in the doctors office.

4. Some doctors will also inject material right under the scar tissue which will raise it up to the level of the unscarred skin.

5. Worst-case scenario, if the scarring is real bad, then your doctor may recommend surgically removing the indent and scars.

To conclude, the worst thing you can do is not take action.

Try vitamin E oil. That really will help.|||There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It%26#039;s been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up %26quot;Cee En%26#039;s Acne Solution%26quot; or %26quot;best acne solution ever%26quot; on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160

It%26#039;s expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don%26#039;t have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

I hope this helps. =)

If you have scars that are like dimples in your skin, you might want to try a chemical peel- there are some at-home kits available at most drug stores. (I think maybe by Olay or Neutrogena?) Chemical peels take off the top layers of your skin to promote new cell growth, which leads to a smoother complexion. This will probably make your skin really dry for a few days, and might even feel like a mild sunburn, but the kits probably have suggestions or solutions for that, and the outcome is worth the couple days of irritation. I think the length of treatments varies by brand, but shouldn%26#039;t be longer than a couple of weeks.

Good luck!|||I%26#039;ve heard Vitamin E works on scars. You can get a bottle for topical application at any drugstore.|||ProActive would likely be the best ... I%26#039;m not sure how expensive it is though.|||A mask....or a bag..|||use neostrata acne treatments and lightening gels, your scars should fade in 6 months and completely gone in like 18 months, if not go to a dermatologist and ask for derm abrasion.|||Proactive|||mederma

not sure how fast u%26#039;ll see results but it does work, try it

good luck tho! =)|||Mederma is great. They make it in a generic version which is the same but much less money. If you consistently use it 3 or 4 x%26#039;s a day it will help. I know someone who used it on a long dark scar and now you can%26#039;t see it. good luck|||hi
